Alumni Foundation/Trust
Scholarship
Miller School was founded
on a gift from Samuel Miller. The figure that most agree on is
$1,044,000.00 that was left, after the completion of various
affairs of his Last Will and Testament, to be used for the
creation and maintenance of what is now The Miller School of
Albemarle. The Alumni Foundation is an endowment
established with the goal of matching the same amount Samuel
Miller left for Miller School. By contributing 1% or $10,440.00
over a five year period, we hope that you can help us reach our
goal of matching Samuel Miller's $1,044,000.00.
On June 6, 2008, the Board of Trustees of Miller School
unanimously agreed to the establishment of The Alumni
Foundation/Trust Scholarship. The scholarship will be
awarded yearly as part of the School's financial aid awards
process for the benefit of a "full need" applicant. By making a
contribution to either the Alumni Foundation or Alumni Trust,
you can help a deserving girl or boy from the Charlottesville or
Albemarle County area attend Miller School.
